תרכיזים של מיצי פירות משמשים בדרך כלל ממתיק עיקרי במוצרים טבעיים או אורגנים; לכן ניתן לחשוב כי זהו מוצר בריא, בהיותו נטול סוכר. אלא שתרכיז מיצי פירות הוא סוג של סוכר פשוט הגורם לאותן בעיות שגורם לגוף סוכר רגיל.
